Dog! Players & Roles
Pick a side — survivor escape craft or Dog pressure — then jump into the matching deep guides.
Players and roles in Dog!
Dog! (formerly Ben!) by Retro Horror is built around a 1 vs All role fantasy with up to seven players. One presence hunts as Dog; the rest complete chapter structure and escape. This hub routes you into role pages and the skill guides behind them.

Matching deep guides
- Survivors: How to Survive, How to Tase Dog, Chapter Walkthrough
- Dog: How to Play as Dog
- Both: Getting Started, Tier List, Codes
Role fantasy vs lobby reality
You will not main one role forever in public servers. Strong players keep a survivor kit and a Dog kit in their head:
- Survivor kit: early plant, key assignment, doorway taser, exit call.
- Dog kit: noise rotate, key priority, trap feints, exit denial.
When the game assigns the side you like less, treat it as reps — not a disconnect reason.

Loadouts and Coins
Roles feel different when your inventory is empty. Redeem active codes for Coins, buy S/A tools from traps, then flex on skins. Cosmetics do not replace a bear trap on prison stairs.
Communication standards
Short calls beat essays. Survivors share Dog room names; Dog players listen for typed key admissions. Keep Ask Dog jokes out of clutch windows — chat Dog questions are not code redeems anyway.
Fair play across roles
ESP and auto-click utilities listed on Scripts break both roles’ skill ceilings and risk bans. Learn rooms via the walkthrough instead.
How to climb together
- Duo queue: one progress specialist, one stall specialist.
- Trio: add a dedicated taser.
- Full stack: assign Dog practice rounds on purpose so everyone understands cutoffs.
- Review updates after chapter drops.
- Keep official links handy on Wiki.
Survivor snapshot
Survivors buy time. They do not need to “win” every chase. Open the survivor page for hide timing, key doctrine, and cross-links into traps and codes.
Dog snapshot
Dog spends survivor time. Cuts and denies matter more than animations. Open the Dog role page for priority targets and finale stair control.
Switching mindset mid-night
After three survivor losses, play Dog to see which stairs everyone plants. After three easy Dog stomps, play survivor with stricter exit discipline. Cross-training is the hidden meta.
